    I’ve been here a few times, mostly when they have events on for the kids such as halloween and Easter. They do put the effort into this and as such I’ve rated it based on this, my kid had a blast the few times we went to the Halloween and Easter parties. They do games for the kids, competitions and hand out sweets for the kids and the Easter one is good because usually the weather is nice enough for them to play out in the garden. They have trampolines, climbing frames and other things the kids can play with which is rare to find with a pub nowadays (I’m assuming the garden is the same since I’ve been in the garden which was last year). I went this year for the Xmas stalls, it wasn’t great. Not many stalls at all and not very festive in my opinion, would have been good if they got a Santa as they might have had more footfall for the stalls. When we went in, no one else was looking at the stalls, just us. The locals were on the other side drinking and you could tell they were there to just drink and not for the stalls. There were about stalls which is fair enough as it’s a pub and there’s not much room, would have been good if they did an Xmas disco where they usually do it and put the stalls in the back garden where the benches usually are, perhaps investing in a pop up gazebo as I’m sure more people would have showed up if they did a party along with the stalls, so the kids were entertained. I felt a bit silly taking my kids as there wasn’t anything for the kids... perhaps they’re doing a Xmas party on a separate date? but I still believe having more stalls outside under a gazebo would have meant more space. I also felt we were being stared at the whole time we looked at the stalls so it felt kinda awkward, we bought two things and then left. We walked so it felt like a bit of a long way out for two stalls that we bought stuff from. Add Santa in a corner by a Xmas tree where he spoke to the kids that came in, might of made it worth it but nothing like that. I haven’t eaten food from this place so can’t comment on that. There’s a food van outside but it’s a separate business so I’m not including that in my rating. I’m giving three stars solely for the kids discos and the garden is kid friendly. I have drank there, find it a little on the pricey side but I guess that’s every pub now. I’m not scoring it stars as it’s out of the way so if you don’t live around the corner, you might want to try a pub closer by as a lot of people will walk if they want to drink... it’s quite out the way. There’s not much parking available so it probably is a pain finding parking when it’s busy.Some people have described the pub as ‘rough’ but I don’t think that’s fair as it’s safe enough to take the kids in and every time I’ve been in, there’s never been fights or arguments.

    It's a bit out of the way. I get the impression the pub has got its locals, and they seem dedicated patrons. I had a warm welcome and great service, but this is all I can say other than you will be welcomed as I was..Parking: Small parking area.

    A very friendly welcoming family run pub with a great atmosphere ,with a big beer garden with plenty of seating with an enclosed safe big play area ,as a great weekend atmosphere with disco karaoke on Friday and Saturday night, pub quiz on Sunday nights , with themed nights throw out the year for adults and also kids eventsEaster, Halloween,Xmas party plus more .Parking: There is parking but if busy it can go quickKid-friendliness: Very friendly family run pubWheelchair accessibility: Staff very friendly and willing to help
